    I totally agree, I have contacted support many times, and we are still struggling with this part.
    We lost total control of which sales orders are effectively open, and which sales orders are invoiced, but because one item was delivered as for example a guarantee case, it was not invoiced. So the sales order remains open.

    I do not understand why this is so hard.
    I thought to have found a workaround with custom status, but this is not applicable on the closed status...

    Losing hope on this one.
