Create a group not composite item -
In Quickbooks you can create a group that is basically a shortcut of items you use together a lot. You can edit the item list on the sale order / invoice without having to edit the (composite item -Zoho). You need to be able to edit anything at time of invoice - Items, serial numbers in the Group / Composite item. Issues with composite items - 1. If there are any serialized pieces in the composite item - you can complete an invoice without having to select. 2. Composite items assign an account for Sales and Purchase - Which have already done when creating an item. So this reallocates where those end up. 3.You can not edit items in the composite item list at time of sales order / invoice. 4. In Quick books the Group - You can select to print all items in the group or not. So the only thing you see is the description on print , but the person creating the sales order / invoice can see all items and adjust as needed.
