A half arsed attempt to sync 2 sources of income for Zoho!
Vendors - Reorder items - In Books we have this list choice, why not in Inventory, it's actually more relevant here don't you think?
Purchase orders - no item receives in Books ?
I have recently paid for Inventory (Books a year ago ) hoping it would improve my Zoho experience but in fact it makes it more difficult because we have to keep switching back & forth.
My biggest concern is the lack of user roles that stop certain staff seeing all the monetary details associated with items, sales, purchases etc. Why on earth should warehouse staff be allowed to see these sensitive details ?
I have only been using the paid version of Inventory for a few days and have found in this short time that the inconsistencies between Books & Inventory is totally ludicrous.
Inventory has a lot of potential but I think that ALL of it's features should be incorporated into Books & sold on a different tier so that we do not have to use 2 different apps!

We have the item receive option. It will be available when add-on feature is enabled in Zoho Books. We are working on the user role feature.

Ooooooohhhh - this user role you mention - is it the one to hide monetary values from certain users ?
OMG , I hope so - this will really make my day - it will do away with nearly all of my back end code & api calls!!!!!!I am sooooo excited, thank you Reshma :-)))))))))

You can update item receive if you enable add-on in Zoho Books. If you require our assistance in doing that, feel free to write to us.
Assigning user role and restricting the right to view certain modules is indeed an important requirement. It is on our roadmap, and we will keep you informed about the latest updates.
