   Also may I suggest you update your title to make it easier for others to find.

   Maybe: Allowing more control over GoCardless charge date

   I agree, it is silly to initiate payment on the invoice date, which then charges the customer 3 working days later.

   I other packages such as Sage a few options are given, such as charge customers based on invoice DUE date, or charge customers X days before / after etc.
