    I would like to see a desktop offline mode, presumably by way of an app that maintains a local database and can sync it once the internet connection is back. I have many times when I'd like to be able to work on the books on my laptop, but don't have an internet connection to do so. I can use my iPad, but the UI is much more clumsy for extensive work.

  2. allow the default date to be either today's date, OR the last date used
