Multiple product aliases Mapped to a Inventory product
As merchants advertise across a variety of channels, it is often necessary to create an alias of a sku that maps to a single inventory item.
For example, as you know with Amazon, there could be several different listings for the same inventory item. To be competitive on Amazon, I want to find all instances of a product and sell mine too. In order to do this, I have to create different SKU names. Even through the SKU is different, they really should map to a single inventory item in the inventory management platform.
Some platforms allow you to this, while others offer a band-aid solution where you have to create a kit for the aliases with the compenent of the kit being the single inventory item you want to manage. This is very confusing and ineffective.
Better inventory management platforms all you to map multiple aliases to a single inventory item.
