I think it would be nice that you have the value of your inventory on the dashboard instead of having to generate a report.

First column- Total value of inventory on hand
Second column- Total dollar amount of sales from inventory that day
Third column- Total remain balance of inventory after all dollar sales.

This gives you a pulse of your inventory at all times.
