    It would be great if we could create various email templates for Estimates, Invoices, etc.

    Hi all,

    Except for Bills, Vendor Credits and Expenses, multiple email templates can be created for all other Sales and Purchase transactions in Zoho Books. To do so, go to Settings→Email Templates.

  2. Create custom mail merge fields that can be linked in email templates and reminders

    To be able to create a custom field, I work in the property/real estate industry and it would be VERY useful to be able to create a custom field with the 'property address' and then be able to use this in the email templates and reminders as follows

    INV-XXX for %propertyaddress% from %companyname%

    Hi all,

    Custom fields can be created under Settings→Preferences→Contact→Field Customisation.

    After creating a Custom field for ‘Property Address’, go to Settings→Email Templates→Invoices to insert the placeholder for the newly created custom field in the Invoice email template.

  3. Add a BCC to the Reminder Templates

    It would be nice to add a BCC to the reminder templates so as to email yourself without having the client see your personal email address.
    As of now you can only do a CC.

  4. Payment Thank You Note template - include link to the paid invoice

    When I log a payment for a client, I'd like to send them an email thanking them for their payment with a link to the paid invoice. Right now you can send a thank you note, but including a reference to the invoice paid is not possible right now. This seems like a basic feature most would want to see when sending/receiving payment confirmation. Can this be added as a placeholder option in the email template?

  5. Allow payment & invoice placeholders to function in the same email template

    Right now, invoice placeholders (ex %InvoiceURL%) do not function in payment emails and payment placeholders (ex %PaymentDate%) do not function in invoice emails.

    It would be nice if a client who made a payment could visit the web version of their original invoice and see it marked "paid" from a payment thank-you email.

    It is confusing for a client to receive an invoice that has one appearance and then a receipt that has another appearance - they feel like they are from two distinct systems, and the experience does not feel cohesive.

    Hi all,

    To include Invoice URL in the Payment Thank you Note email, go to Settings→Email Templates→Payment Thank you and then enter InvoiceURL placeholder. On doing so, clients will be able to view the Invoices with Paid status from the Payment Thank you note.

  6. Do not default sender of emails on estimates, etc.

    Sender of email should reflect the person logged in and not require selecting an sender email address from a drop down menu.

    Hi all,

    Only for the first time the email address has to be selected in the From dropdown while sending the emails in Zoho Books. The next time whenever the user sends an email, the email address will get picked automatically.

    Hi all,

    While sending customer statements, you will be able to choose your coworker’s emails in cc and bcc field if they are added as users in Zoho Books.

    If Customer statement is sent in bulk, ensure to add the email addresses in cc and bcc field of Customer Statement email template.
