  1. Link existing invoices with projects in Zoho Books

    Link existing invoices with projects in Zoho Books.

    I have created many invoices which I would now like to link to projects, But as it seems I can not do that. I have to create an invoice directly from projects (in Zoho Books). This is anoying since I have so many old invoices which I need to link to the project.

    Hi all, 



    We have the option to associate a project to the already created invoice. 
Edit the invoice > Click on the three dotted icon at the end of the line item > Add additional information > Associate the project.

  2. Filterable Project View

    Allow for filter options in the Project section of the mobile app to allow for quicker access to project time sheets. The current setup lists all projects active or inactive, billed or not. This makes it difficult to find current projects when invoicing and managing projects through the mobile apps. The ability to set the view to only active projects would make finding relevant projects much easier.

  3. Add Scanned Documents To Existing Transactions

    The newly added ability to scan in documents is great but it only gives the ability to add the scanned documents to a new bill or new expense. if there are recurring bills in the system it will not allow you to attach to that existing bill. you would need to delete the recurring bill that was entered and create an entirelly new one.

  4. Trial Balance should provide ending balances

    The Trial Balance only shows total debits and credit. Why isn't there another column for ending balance?

    I would like Zoho Books to add a Year-to-date ("YTD") column at the end of profit and loss reports that adds up all months.

  8. Template button on invoice edit screen

    We create a new invoice then send it immediately to the retailer to confirm it. When we create the invoice and are still in the edit/creation screen we would like to specify the template (we use a confirmation template) and send immediately without going back to switch templates and then send. A workflow issue, functionality is all there.

  9. Custom field to be added in reports

    Custom fields that are added in sales order, if displayed on the sales order reports will give a better insight of data

    Hi there,

    We currently have the option to include the custom field in the Sales Order Details report.

    To do so, please go to Reports→ Select the Sales Order Details report→ Click on customise report and include the custom field by clicking on the +icon → Run the report.

  11. Customer Credit Limit feature

    Customer Credit Limit feature is a valuable addition. However, having this feature limit the ability to create a sales order or accept an estimate in the portal would be ideal. As often invoicing occurs only upon completion of the project having this feature activate on invoice is too late.

    We have added the customer credit limit preference to effect the Sales order. 
You can enable this option under Settings > Preferences > Customers and Vendors > Enable Credit Limit > select Include sales orders’ amount in limiting the credit given to customers > Save

    Hi all, 



    We have the option to associate the reporting tag to the Manual Journals. While creating the Manual Journal, click on the three-dotted icon at the end of the line > Add additional information > chose the tag option. 


    When creating the Other Income in the Banking module, you will have the option to associate the reporting tag.

  13. Adding attachments in Project (e.g. under Notes)

    I would like to have the ability to add attachments in the project, for example under notes. Usually our customers have a written sigh-off for the hours spend on projects, we want to organize these written sign-offs in the project.

    We have the option to add attachments to the Projects. Go to the project > Click on the attachment icon on the top right > here you will be able to upload the files.

  14. Monday as starting day of Week

    For some the work week starts on Monday. While reporting and entering timesheets and in projects, the week starts on Sunday and it is confusing.
    You should give admins an option change it to Monday.

    We have the option to set Monday as the Week start date. Navigate to Settings > Preferences > General > Set the first day of your work week > select Monday from the dropdown > Save

    Allow merchants to send out invoices via their cell phones to their customers who can then pay them online.

  16. Set individual recurring invoices sending preference

    In quickbooks we had the ability to set individual sending preferences for each recurring invoice. In Zoho books this is a global setting for all recurring invoices. This does not work for us. Please see screenshot - https://cl.ly/230L0W3G3J2i

    We have now added the option to set the Recurring Invoice preference for each recurring profile. When you create a new Recurring profile, there will be the preference option at the bottom of the page.

  17. Apply individual price list to specific items within an invoice

    Although you can define many price lists and even establish a specific price for each item, it is required some times to apply special prices only to certain items in an invoice. Currently when you select a price list at an invoice creation step, the price list is applied to all items.
    It would be more flexible being able to apply price lists at an item level rather than to the whole invoice.

    Hi there,

    We now have the option to enable price list at the Line item level while creating transactions in Zoho Books.

    In order to enable/disable item level Price List in transaction creation please go to Settings→Preferences→Items.

    Please note that this option will be disabled by default. You can enable it in preferences.

  18. Ability to attach document to Vendor Credits

    When a vendor issues me a credit note/refund statement etc I enter it manually into books however I have no way to attach the actual statement to the credit as I would if I were entering a Bill.

    This seems like something that was overlooked and easily remedied, I'd love to see it integrated so we can better keep a full record of our business.

    Hi there,

    You can now add attachments to vendor credits by clicking on the paper clip icon at the top right corner while navigating to the required vendor credit.

    Note: You can upload a maximum of 5 files, 5MB each.

  19. Add a BCC to the Reminder Templates

    It would be nice to add a BCC to the reminder templates so as to email yourself without having the client see your personal email address.
    As of now you can only do a CC.

  20. Allow attachments to email templates and workflows

    It has just been confirmed by Zoho that the attachment option to email templates does not work. We wish to create a workflow to send an email to a customer along with an attachment. We have attached a file and the email gets sent but without the attachment.
