    Hi,

    By default Admin, Staff and Timesheet staff roles are available. Separate roles can be created for Data entry operator, Entry approver, Accountant and Consultant with the required permissions. To create custom roles and assign it to users, go to Settings > Users & Roles > Roles > + New role.

    Also, GSTR-1, GSTR-2 and GSTR-3B is available under GST filing module in Zoho Books.

    can you expend the width of Item & description in Excel invoice template. Their are insufficient space to enter description.

    Hi,

    The Item Table Column’s width of Invoice templates can be adjusted in Zoho Books to perfectly fit in the appropriate information in the respective column. To make changes to table width, go to Settings > Templates > Invoices > Click on the edit button in the excel template > Item table > Labels > Customise table cell width.

  3. Allow automation triggers from Custom Sales Order Status as well as Estimated Ship Date

    It seems you can create automated triggers from every status or field a Sales Order offers except for these two.

    Estimated ship date would allow us to create automated emails to either notify our customers, or our own team of missed deadlines for shipments.

    Using the new custom sales order status will allow for automation to be fine tuned to specific orders.

    Sorry we didn’t update the information here. 

You can customize payment terms while creating an invoice or while adding a contact. 
Choose ‘Configure Terms’ in the drop down list under Payment Terms to edit existing options or add new terms.

  5. Include "unbilled projects" option when creating a new invoice in from a timesheet project..

    I would like the "Include Unbilled Items" option in an invoice made from the timesheet project window just like when I create an invoice outside of it.

  6. Put the reporting basis on the P&L Report

    Would you add the reporting basis to the header or footer section on the Profit & Loss Statement so it shows whether the reporting is either accrual or cash basis?

    This is important in the U.S. because it impacts certain taxes and the reports must support the numbers submitted to the tax agencies. The reports also become permanent records in case of future audits.

    I personally have no preference as to where you have the report show the reporting basis. It could either be part of the report title or somewhere in the footer section.

  7. Delivery Challan

    Delivery Challan is mandatory in so many cases after GST implementation. It's a must in Zoho books. Can it be added, please confirm.

  8. I would like to digitally sign my invoices with a digital signature

    I WANT TO USE MY DSC TO SIGN MY INVOICES. THE SAME DSC WHICH I USE ON THE GST WEBSITE

    Hi all, 



    You can now digitally sign your Invoices in Zoho Books using DSC dongle.
    Note: This feature is supported only on the Zoho Books’ Windows app. You will also have to be subscribed to the current Professional or Premium plan in the Indian edition of Zoho Books to use this.

  9. Bank Charges in Bill Payments as they are in Invoice Payments

    A bank charges field when you make a bill payment. The same way it exists for an invoice payment.

    We have added the Bank charges field for vendor payments. This bank charge is exclusive of the amount paid to the vendor. 
    As of now this field is not available for the India, UK, KSA and UAE editions as these regions apply a tax for bank charges.

    We now have the option to Bulk delete the payments received. You can bulk select the payments and click on the trash icon to delete. You can delete upto 25 payments in bulk.

  12. Payment Thank You Note template - include link to the paid invoice

    When I log a payment for a client, I'd like to send them an email thanking them for their payment with a link to the paid invoice. Right now you can send a thank you note, but including a reference to the invoice paid is not possible right now. This seems like a basic feature most would want to see when sending/receiving payment confirmation. Can this be added as a placeholder option in the email template?

  14. Bulk re-assignment of expenses into new COA categories

    When a Zoho Books user decides to reorganize the Chart of Accounts (COAs), existing transactions cannot be easily moved to new COA categories. You literally have to edit each and every transaction. This is crazy. We just spent a couple of days editing hundreds of individual transactions because there is no bulk edit option. Why is this not being prioritized. We often update our COA categories, to align with our changing business model and IRS tax form categories. We like to align our COAs with IRS categories, so we don't have to pay our accountants extra money to move reclassify…

  15. Projects in "ZOHO books" be synchronized with projects in "ZOHO Project"

    When creating a project in ZOHO project it would create the same project in ZOHO books and be synchronised ever after, timelogging and all. And vice versa of course, when creating a project in ZOHO books, it would be created in ZOHO projects and so on.

  16. Active customers list

    Would love to be able to view active customer separate for active contacts. Since these are the contacts I am working with the most being able to set it as a default view would be great too. Thanks

    Hi all,

    An option to filter active customers is now available using custom views. Find the ‘+New Custom View’ option by clicking on the drop down arrow next to ‘All Contacts’ view and set the criteria to ‘When Status is Active’.

  17. Attachment in manual journals

    Possibility to place an attachment in the manual journals. This allows if I do not want to make postings of expenses in the module of expenses and to launch only in the newspaper, more accurate to have the option to put document attachment so I put my proofs of the expenses and other postings that the accounting should launch.

  18. Add Scanned Documents To Existing Transactions

    The newly added ability to scan in documents is great but it only gives the ability to add the scanned documents to a new bill or new expense. if there are recurring bills in the system it will not allow you to attach to that existing bill. you would need to delete the recurring bill that was entered and create an entirelly new one.

  19. Auto number or Manual number for Manual Journal Entries

    Please allow to have both options for numbering manual journals.

    same options which we already have in other modules, like invoices, Purchase Orders etc.
