Stop Creating invoice on subscription - or make it optional
We have a few clients who are interested in Zoho Subscriptions. However there is one main feature missing: Disable Auto billing on creation of Subscription.
Here is the use case:
Clients sell products directly and they sell products as a reseller.
Every time a new subscription is created, an invoice is automatically send out to the customer. This behaviour is not good for all cases.
Even upon activating "metered billing" - still the first invoice is always send out straight away.
In case of selling direct products this is ok - however, when a seller is acting as a reseller, he do not want to send out invoices, but still track the volume.
We have tried this with a dummy Product - valued at 0 Euro, then no invoice is send, however, all reports regarding revenue will be a mess.
The best would be an option with a checkbox "Create invoice?" - If checked, then an invoice is created (in Zoho Books) - if not, then no invoice is created, just the subscription will be created.
This would help us to sell Zoho Subscription into any company that sells own products and reseller products.
