  1. Use of items in projects

    Professionals have to book their used materials so they can be invoiced to the customer. It would be very helpfull if we get next to expenses and millage the possibility of booking used materials (items) on projects. When we generate invoices we get these items automatically, with the right price and VAT on the invoice.

    A possibility is to add the right items to the project with the right project prices, so the professional can only book items related to the project.

    Hi there,

    In Zoho Invoice, though it’s not possible to create item rates directly in foreign currencies, you can create a price list and achieve this.

    While creating a price list, you can define the currency in which you’d like to add the item prices and you can even associate price lists with customers if needed.

  3. Profit and loss by each project / customer

    We need Profit and Loss report by each project / customer.
    Not too complicated... Simply, "Sales - Expense by project or Customer" is good enough.

  4. Ability to subtract lunch/break times from timesheet

    It would be helpful if we could add in break times to a timesheet, which are subtracted from the total time.

    E.g. I work 9-5.30 with a 30 min break. Currently I either need to enter my finishing time 30 minutes early or create 2 separate time entries, one before lunch and one after.

    Having the ability to include breaks would be helpful.

  8. Packing list

    Packing list with product size, gross weights, and cubic meters would be helpful for companies doing importing/exporting business.

  9. retainer balance remaining

    it would be good to see the amount of the retainer balance remaining by customer. In the retainer screen there is a "balance" section, but this shows the balance outstanding and uncollected. As a retainer is a pre-payment by a client, showing the balance due is irrelevant. A better field would be the total retainer remaining (i.e. total retainer paid minus any retainer payments applied).

  11. Option to choose recipients for Recurring invoice notification email

    If the Recurring Invoice preference is set as 'Create invoice as drafts', an email would be sent automatically to the organization admin whenever an invoice is generated from the Recurring Invoice profile. It would be nice to add recipients to this email.

    Hi,

    In the email preview page (the page that appears when you hit the “Save and send” option), if you scroll down and click on the invoice PDF title, you’ll be able to change its name.

    However, it’s not possible to automate the PDF filename such that the customer’s name appears after the invoice number. Sorry about that.

  16. Group Header

    We would like to be able to group articles under a common header. For example, in the same estimate, I want to sell articles regarding the "sound" and the "light"
    We would be able to have a "Sound" section with all the articles and the option to get a subtotal for this.

    Thank you for your feedback.

    This is possible using Zoho Expense, which is our expense reporting application.

    Zoho Expense primarily helps you manage your employee expenses in situations where they have to report their expenses to the company and get it approved by their managers and later get it reimbursed. The employees can create expenses as billable to the customers too.

    Zoho Expense is integrated with Zoho Invoice. When an expense report is approved, the expenses in the report will be moved to Zoho Invoice automatically.

  20. Ability to create and print a Sales Receipt

    Under the sales options, in addition to invoice, estitmate, etc,
    An Option for Sales receipt should be added

    Must has different receipt numbering, and not not be base on the invoice number
    Option to print on small size mobile receipt printers
    Option to print on small format receipt size paper settings.
    Must have on own print template, and not using the Invoice Template

    Motivation:
    In my country (and others), there is a differnece between a receipt and invoice.
    Receipts are mainly used for Cash Sales, after the payment has been made.
