Profit and loss
This is a must have report for any business. We need this ASAP. It doesn't have to be that detailed, it just needs to list income by category (sales), total expenses by category and an overall profit or loss calculation. It would also be great to have this included on the dashboard.

Zoho Invoice can help you generate the ‘Payments Received’ and ‘Expense details’ report but it doesn’t have the ability to generate a’ Profit and Loss’ report as such. However, you can easily do this with Zoho Books.
Zoho Books is a single application that can help you with both invoicing and bookkeeping (and hence comes with P&L report). If you already have a Zoho Invoice organization, migrating to Zoho Books is such a breeze. You can refer this link to know the exact steps:

Profit and loss by each project / customer
We need Profit and Loss report by each project / customer.
Not too complicated... Simply, "Sales - Expense by project or Customer" is good enough.5 votes -
Classification of timesheet reports by tasks
I'd like to group the details in the time sheet report by the name of the tasks, beside of user, date or project. It would help me to bring my clients the info they need about the time spent by project and task.

Allow users to flexibly add columns to report "Payments Received" (comment, sales person, days outstanding, etc.)
As a user I would like the ability to flexibly add columns to a report, for instance "Payments Received." We use the comment field. Others use sales person. We would also like to track days outstanding. This should be available on all reports, not just on Invoices or Payments Received.

report on draft invoices
All inclusion of Draft invoices on "Sales by Item" report so I can forecast easier. (perhaps include chkBox to include DraftItems)

Thank you for posting on our feedback forum.
Since the draft invoices cannot be accounted as your actual sales, we have not included that in the “Sales by item” report.
However, you can make use of the “Invoice Details” report for this. Using the “Customize report” option in that report, you can choose whether to show/hide the draft invoices.

Recurring Invoices Reports
Currently there is no reporting on revenue coming from recurring invoices. It would be great if I can see a summary of yearly revenue from recurring invoices. Thanks.

Actual vs Budgeted expense reports
Option to see how much you have spent versus the budget and the balance.

Please add "All Time" in dropdown menu for Sales / Income / Expense etc.
Currently options are "this fiscal year; last fiscal year; last 12 months; last 6 months".
Since most of our clients are billed over multiple years we would like to see an "All Time" sales total for each of them without having to do a custom report every time.

Report for Receivable by iteam
We have a good features under Reports for sales to identify sales generated by different category items. Such as Sales by Design, Sales by Development etc.
But the currently there is no option to generate the similar report for Receivable, therefore we are unable to identify Receivable from Design tasks and receivable from development jobs.

Reports for: Sales -> Items -> incoming vs outgoing inventory
Currently the sales reporting provides a calculated sum of how many of that item came into AND out of stock. So, sometimes the item sales report reflects negative numbers, even though we may actually sold several in that time frame. It reflects a negative because we had folks exchange/trade in said item for new products, and when we created a credit note for said item it "added" it to our inventory - whether the item was in resellable condition or not.
It would be nice to see 2 data points for the sales on each item:

trend report
Create a trend report that shows the invoice amount history per customer over a period of time. That way we can identify spend habits or issues with customers that are invoiced in a regular basis.

Schedule multiple timesheet reports
Currently, Zoho invoice does not allow to schedule more than one timesheet report per type & period range i.e detail/summary for daily/weekly/monthly.
