make the payment options button better
The button for payment options on a retainer invoice or invoice is not very well designed. I suggest you redesign it to make it more obvious and clearer to a customer that they should click there to pay online. A better CTA.

filter transactions by payment type when matching transactions
When matching deposits to transactions, it would be great if we could filter by payment type as our credit card machine sends batched deposits separately by "credit card" and "debit card" every night. Also, we deposit "checks" and "cash" at the end of every week. These payments types are already entered for each transaction. This would allow us to quickly identify the numerous transactions that make up every deposit. Our current workaround is to deposit all transactions into an "undeposited funds" account we made for ourselves, from which we transfer the amounts for each category into the checking account at…

Allow posting to several accounts when writing checks.
When writing checks that do not go through AP, it would be helpful to allow several accounts to be posted. Example, payroll wires need to be separated between Salary, payroll tax and payroll liability accounts. All other accounting software has this feature. Thanks

I want to design enhancements for Zoho Books using Zoho Creator
Zoho allows developers access to the Books API. So why not make Zoho Creator a tool for developing new features? I would like to create job costing functions and reports for Books.

Delivery notes and packing slips should be available on plain paper
When we sell goods to a trade customer, we might send the goods direct to their customer, and we need to send paperwork on plain paper. There is currently no template to amend the paperwork, only option is to add or not show, but this does not include our address.

please add a badge on document icon showing new documents in inbox
This is so we can remember to check there for expenses for which team members have sent receipts through email to our zoho document inbox. Otherwise, it is hard to remember to check there.

to allow customizing the Dashboard by letting users add boxes such as Sales Orders and Purchase Orders.
User should have the ability to add boxes below your standard dashboard (or also be able to reorder them). In my case i would like to add sales orders and purchase orders at the end of the standard dashboard boxes.

Allow optional automatic generation of reference numbers for expense, banking and related entries that have columns for reference number
Instead of having to create and enter refernece numbers manually, let there be an option for user to chose either for automatic generation of reference numbers in a particular format according to teh need of the user, or for the user to enter the refernce number manually if it is created from elsewhere. Let there be the two options.

AR and AP Accounts:
ZOHO Books have hard coded the AP and AR accounts and hence even if i have to use my own coded Chart of Accounts , I can't define an AR and AP account of my choice. I suggest, you could provide a this as a configuration item (initial setting) where-by the user will provide the desired AR and AP account name from the list of accounts created and you could mark this for automatic posting only.

Dashboard and other expenses related reports:
All posting to expenses accounts (accounts that are defined as expenses) are not getting reflected on the dashboard and or in the expenses related reports. There will lots of Journals would entered for booking expenses especially when one follow an accrual system. Instead of checking the accounts, it seems ZOHO books reporting, including dashboard, is checking whether the expenses are entered as expense transaction or category. Appreciate if you could please check this and update the system accordingly.

Provide better time sheet reporting.
- It is very difficult to take a time of an individual for a whole month and check where he / she has captured time for all days. A time sheet report with days of the month as columns with number of ours in each column and on the left column the project he / she entered time for will give a better view of the time sheet. Remove all of the ZOHO marketing and 3rd party marketing. We pay for the product. Seeing ads is inappropriate.
To see the ads for Zoho products in various spots and 3rd party (Fundbox) in the system along with the getting started link and refer a friend link that we can't remove is annoying. I'm fine with it being there if there was an option to remove it. I also do not mind at all the notifications that appear at the top every once in awhile that I can read and then remove/close. But the permanent ads and the two other links should have an option to remove them.
