Customizable Statements with reference data

It will be good to have statements with reference data. For example, I have created a expense account (Machining) and I enter all kind of machining related to different projects. I enter them under machining and the project name in reference field. I can filter out a statement with reference criteria, but I do not see the total amount with respect to that particular referenced project.
