Currently, Zoho Books does not allow editing of activated fixed assets, including custom fields. For instance, when an asset's location (stored in a custom field) changes, the only workaround is to clone the asset and create a new one. This process is unnecessarily complex for non-financial details that do not impact accounting.

To address this, it would be highly beneficial to allow editing of custom fields for active fixed assets. This enhancement would enable users to make simple updates, such as changes to an asset's location, without the need to clone or disrupt financial data. Implementing this feature would significantly streamline asset management and improve the overall user experience.
