Link email correspondance to an Item
I would like to be able to archive all emails relevant to an Items sale so that in future I can look up an item and see all email history on relevant to it.

item groups
Hi Reshma, Grouping items helps in adding different discounts % to different customers and different discounts % groups to same customer. Without grouping feature applying a % discount to select Items is not possible. It has to be done manually & could be error prone. Same with GST too. At least 1 level of Item grouping is absolutely essential.

Allow the "Use In Future" option when editing Items in Invoices
When I make an edit to in item in Invoice or Estimate It would be nice to have the option to "Use in Future" (Like you offer for notes) that would save the edited Item description for future use

customer wise part numbers
Need to give customer wise part codes / part numbers. ex Item ABC is billed to multiple customers. each customer will have their own part codes. customer 1 calls it as 'aaa' ; customer 2 as 'bbb' and customer 3 as 'xyz'. when the item is billed to a particular customer, the respective part code is picked up and shown in a particular custom field

Multiple Tax in Item. In India We have 3 taxs, 1 Services tax, 2 Swachh Bharat Cess and 3 Krishi Kalyan Cess
Krishi Kalyan Cess, which was announced during the 2016–17 Budget, has become applicable from 1 June. A tax of 0.5% would be levied over and above the Service Tax and Swachh Bharat Cess. Till 31 May 2016, the Service Tax rate was 14.5%. With Krishi Kalyan cess, the service tax would increase to 15%.

Master UNIT
One thing that makes zoho books complicated for many industries (like textile, wood, interior, manufacturing etc) is no option of master unit. it can be similar to composite items. zoho team please work on it. below are show examples.
- 1 Sheet of plywood is 2.44 X 1.22.
- 1 Roll of Wire is 100 Meters
- 1 Bundle of Plastic goods contail 80 Dozen pieces
in this scenario No need to have complicated unit conversions. Just allow users to define what is "Unit" and What is "Master Unit" of the same.

Complex UOM
Add a complex units of measurement creation, like A case of 60 packets.
it would help in selling sealed cases as one quantity, by not checking how many packets in the case everytime. I have been transferring packets from cases to issue free pieces because of lack of this option.1 vote -

Ability to assign one/multiple product categories to Item and filter for same while searching for products
Ability to assign one/multiple product categories to Item and then ability to filter items by category while adding line item to order/invoice. This filter should be available both in web and phone apps.
This way those users can locate product items faster who have huge product list. Also user will see a short list of products if they are looking for specific category product only.

Associating a default template for a Item
For a set of line item by default I want to use spreadsheet template and for another set of line item i want to use spreadsheet plus template. Can we associate default template to line item.
Eg.
Spreadsheet Plus - Have around 40 Items (Paper Products).
Spreadsheet Plus - Only One Line Item Wood Pellet.When in the invoice Wood Pellet item is there, on saving by default spreadsheet plus template is the format.
When the invoice has the remaining 40 products, the format should be spreadsheet.1 vote
