Inventory Valuation
Valuing inventory to include Overhead and Labor Burden is essential part of period end financial reporting. Inventory calculations, albeit time consuming, are repeatable and could be configured within the system. Allowing the user to select which accounts to apply to overhead and at what percent, as well as burden thus allowing the system to do the valuation for the user at period end.

Request on having "Serial Number" in "Package"
Our customer would like to have the "Serial Number" for the items when creating a "Package" as the "Serial Number" can only be entered when creating a "Invoice" as of now.
They would like to have the Serial Number in Package as they would like to track the goods which are out from their warehouse.

Order fulfillment
I would like to suggest to show on the sales orders summary page, which sales orders have all items in stock or partially in stock and can be fulfilled.

Enable use of different SKU from uploaded barcode
When I try to upload barcode from my products to items, the imbedded SKU is populated for the item. But I have a different SKU system I use on Zoho Books.

Inventory Pool
As a service provider we do a lot of little jobs and a lot of jobs with a lot of parts. When it comes to invoicing we would love to be able to do a purchase order and create a pool of active parts that we can drag into an invoice without complicating our jobs by creating a project for each one.
So we can go to the supplier and purchase a range of products and then add them to a "quarantine" area. We can then keep track of what's in the quarantine area and if we've missed invoicing anything.…1 vote -
Not be able to view Inactive Items while searching in the Active Items view
Recently, Zoho Inventory changed the way you search in the Items section. It is great because it used to be an exact wording search which was frustrating. Now it is a 'contains' search, so there is a lot more flexibility. Well... The downside is that now when you have the default view to Active Items and search something, it will pull up all of the inactive items as well. It is incredibly inconvenient and pointless. If you have thousands of items, it makes searching pointless now. Please fix ASAP

Enable inventory tracking after transactions have been recorded
I would like to see an update where you can enable inventory tracking on items which did not previously have it enabled, even after transactions have been made with this item.
You would simply set the system to record the inventory on the item from that day forward.
The reason for this is for example if you have a company which drop ships a particular item, then decides one day to inventory it - you cannot utilize that item already in books and have to create another one. This can become a mess, especially since you cannot use duplciate sku's…

Add a report showing how "Cost of Goods sold" journals are calculated.
So you have journals hitting "Cost of Goods Sold" account but users do not have access to see the make up of that journal.
And there is currently no report for this.
The system is doing the calculation in the background, but users just do not have access to it.

Customs codes and calculated fields in PO's
It would be very helpful to be able to have calculated fields in the PO module. It would also be very helpful to be able to associate customs codes ( HTS codes) to a purchase order. For instance, we would like to see item 1, description, # items, customs code. This helps our vendor simply take the PO and add it to the shipment so that customs see the code for the items purchased.

Stock/Inventory Value in hand at the Dashboard
The first items at the Dashboard are Receivables and Payables, it gives a good overview of the business currently, but for a products dealing company like ours, it is incomplete without the stock value in hand.
